The beauty of brass

Brass has been popular in the home for centuries – used on taps, door handles, light fittings and candle sticks.

A popular choice for interiors, it works well with a muted colour palette.

Pair it with dark, desaturated hues – like forest greens, charcoal blacks and deep blues. If you live in a houseplant jungle, brass is your friend. With its retro Seventies feel, it fits in well in bohemian-style homes.

Brass also compliments crisp whites, for a flash of contemporary glamour. It matches with marble surfaces for an aged antique look, or concrete for a beautiful contrast between sleek and industrial.

Our brass legs are available now in 16” (bench height), or 28” (desks and dining tables).

Gimme more metallics

The type of hairpin legs you choose are totally dependent on your personal style, and the piece you’re making. So that you have plenty of options, our metallics collection now includes raw steel, clear coat steel, copper, zinc, chrome and brass.

Not sure which to choose?

Copper works particularly well with modern, Scandinavian styles, whereas chrome has a flashy contemporary look that pairs well with matte black surfaces.

Zinc hairpin legs

Zinc is highly-durable and rust-resistant, so it’s great on outdoor furniture. It contrasts beautifully with live-edge oak, concrete and pallets.

If you prefer a pop of colour, our hairpin legs are also available in a range of bold hues – from sunshine yellow, to duck egg blue. See the full range here.

If you’ve got a project in mind, but you’re not sure which legs would match best, we’re always more than happy to help you decide. Leave a comment, send us a message, or give us a call.

And when you're project is done, we'd love to share it. If you’ve got a hairpin leg project you’d like our followers to see, tag us on Instagram #thehairpinlegco and we'll do our best to feature it on our feed.

Looking forward to seeing your hairpin creations :-)
