What is a table frame?
Our metal table frames are self-supporting structures, offering ultimate strength and stability for various projects. Table frames are either fully welded or bolted together. Our unique bolting system provides equal strength to welding in a far more practical format.
Why would I need a full table frame?
Table frames are most valuable for heavy projects or non-structural tops.
Tops weighing over 150kg will undoubtedly benefit from a full frame's additional support. While our other legs, such as the Industrial Box Sections, are extremely strong, nothing ties each leg together, and tiny movements in the tabletop or around the fixing points can result in a slight wobble. While this is fine in most cases, some customers will settle for no less than a rock-solid base.
If a fragile top is used or something not designed to take a load (i.e. slate, resin, glass), then a full frame will be peace of mind and simplify the overall build. For these types of materials, you can get away with simply resting it on top or fixing it with small grub screws to prevent sliding around.
How to assemble a table frame?
Table frames are straightforward to assemble. Slide the horizontal support bars onto the tabs on the legs and secure them with the bolts provided. We provide all fixings and tools required.
